I love it! So creative! When our daughter was little, she was really into Batman. One day we took big pieces of cardboard, cut it into "wings," painted it black and taped them onto her toy ride-in fire engine to make a batmobile. She loved it! I think it's great to teach kids to make things rather than buy everything.

Carla, I am the one who should thank you for having the chance to publish your beautiful tutorial.
When I did my post I look to see if I could find your name, but I did not find it. Now I know, and I must say that you have a beautiful name.

I visited Canada for the first time this year. My husband and I were in Quebec City and Montreal. We love it.

I wish you a very Merry Christmas, and a New Year full of good things :)

Those are just fantastic. Well done - and looking forward to seeing the next instalment.

Have a Happy Christmas too - basking in the self-congratulation of having done so much, with so little and for so little. Really inspiring.

Love it! So beautiful and creative. I love making Christmas decorations, too. I started doing it years ago when I was a Christmas decorator at the local house museum. My friend and I were too cheap to buy a lot of things to decorate a big mansion-sized room, so we made ornaments, etc. My favorite was the year we made extremely fragrant cinnamon cookies and put glitter on them. We strung them into garlands which hung on the bed in the "maid's room." Our room smelled fabulous!

We re-use paper gift bags at our house, but I think these felt ones would hold up a lot better. Very cute!

I have never thought of a reusable gift bag but I recently received as a gift a set of amazing reusable postcards by http://www.dustbincards.etsy.com/, can you imagine?!
Those are adorable...and they seem quick and easy. I have been meaning to make my Christmas more eco-friendly and this seems like the perfect start.
