This sock puppet is a quick, and easy project that will bring some laughter to your little ones. All you need is a sock (whose partner has mysteriously disappeared) and things to give this puppet some personality (buttons, thread, maybe some felt and yarn).
Puppet How-To
- Find a lonely sock that is fun and bright
- Attach (by sewing, or by gluing with a hot gun) eyes made out of felt, or buttons…googly eyes work great. (If your children are very small and in the habit of eating whatever they get their hands on, then sew felt eyes on to prevent any chocking hazards.)
- Optional: use yarn to give your puppet some hair, or some felt to attach ears to the side of the head, perhaps some teeth. Use your imagination. There are tons of possibilities.
- Insert hand into your newly made sock puppet and use to tickle your children, chase after them and make funny noises.
