I found this great free cupcake hat pattern and I just had to make one. Here is my final product:
The original pattern is for a blythe doll, but it can be easily modified for a baby, a small child or even an adult. To do this, simply add extra rows (original pattern calls for 36 rows) to the base of the cupcake to comfortably fit around the head of the hat’s recipient. You can also use this sizing chart as reference. For instance, I modified mine to fit a newborn baby girl.
My cupcake hat was made as part of this baby shower gift: personalized baby blanket, tag monster softie, crocheted cupcake hat, and appliqued cupcake onesie.
